The Egyptian Papyrus with
Isis, Ramses II, and Horus
The Goddess Isis is shown presenting Ramses II
to the god Horus.
He is giving Ramses II the symbol for eternal life, health, and happiness.
From the tomb scene of Ramses II.
The Egyptian Papyrus is made by slicing thin strips of River Nile reeds and laying them criss-cross. They are then soaked in water and dried under weight. The result makes a very durable paper, which has been used since ancient times.
The papyrus painting measures aproximately 9" X 12."
It is painted in Gouache watercolor.
